First Line of Communication

Players: Direct player-to-coach communication is valuable for several reasons:

  • Builds Trust: Players feel heard and valued by their coach.
  • Improves Understanding: Coaches can provide clear, one-on-one feedback on expectations and strategy
  • Promotes Development: Conversations can be tailored to the player’s individual growth.
  • Creates a Positive Team Environment: Players feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts and concerns.
  • Encourages Growth: Helps young athletes develop communication skills and advocate for themselves.

The best time to have these conversation is before or after practice.

Parents: If you player requires additional support in these conversations, we ask that you observe a 24-hour grace period, unless there is an emergency. Additionally, we kindly request that you refrain from discussing volleyball strategy, as that is at the discretion of the coaching staff.

If, after the player has spoken with their coach—and you have also spoken with the coach—you still have additional questions, please feel free to contact me at monticlubjo@gmail.com.
